Where was movie security filmed?

Where was movie Security filmed is Bulgaria, despite story being set in United States in a suburban mall. The 2017 action thriller starring Antonio Banderas and Ben Kingsley was filmed primarily in Sofia, Bulgaria, at Nu Boyana Film Studios, which is a large studio complex used for many Hollywood low to mid budget action films due to lower costs and tax incentives. Interior mall scenes were built as sets inside studio sound stages, allowing production to create entire mall interior including shops, corridors, and security office with controlled environment for night shoot and action sequences. Exterior mall shots and some street scenes were also filmed in and around Sofia with American style storefront dressing to resemble US location. Bulgaria has become popular for filming action movies because it offers experienced crews, versatile locations that can double for American settings, and studio facilities capable of handling large scale stunts and pyrotechnics. The film had relatively low budget around 15 million dollars, so filming in Bulgaria helped manage costs while still delivering Hollywood style action with name actors.
