At the end of the movie Security from 2017 starring Antonio Banderas and Ben Kingsley, former Marine captain Eddie Deacon now working as mall security guard must protect 11 year old girl Jamie who witnessed a murder and has evidence against Charlie, played by Ben Kingsley, leader of mercenaries. Mercenaries storm the mall at night to kill girl and destroy evidence. Eddie and his small team of guards Vance, Mason, Johnny, and others use their military skills and mall resources to set traps and fight heavily armed attackers. During final battle, most guards are injured but fight bravely, Vance sacrifices himself heroically, and Eddie confronts Charlie directly. Girl is protected and hides, Eddie manages to kill Charlie after intense hand to hand fight and gun battle. Police arrive in morning, girl is safe and evidence that proves Charlie's criminal conspiracy including murder and corruption is preserved and will be used to prosecute. Eddie is hailed as hero and secures future for his family, having redeemed himself after struggling to find work. Film ends with mall safe and villains defeated, showing themes of duty and protection despite low stakes setting.
