A metal drip edge is one of the most inexpensive components of a roofing system, typically costing between three and ten dollars per standard ten-foot length at home improvement stores. Even for a large residential home, the total material cost for the drip edge itself rarely exceeds a few hundred dollars. While professional labor to install it adds to the total invoice during a roof replacement, the drip edge itself represents a very small fraction of the overall project budget.
