Raw biogas cannot be directly converted into Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) because LPG is composed of specific hydrocarbons like propane and butane derived from petroleum refinement, whereas biogas consists primarily of methane and carbon dioxide. However, biogas can undergo rigorous upgrading processes to strip away impurities and carbon dioxide, yielding high-purity biomethane. This upgraded biomethane can then be compressed into cylinders as Bio-CNG to serve a functionally identical cooking or vehicle-fuel purpose.
