In nature, a termite's most formidable enemies are predatory insects, particularly ants. Certain species of ants, such as Argentine ants and pavement ants, actively hunt termites, raid their nests, and consume colonies. Additionally, specialized soil-dwelling nematodes and various insectivorous birds, reptiles, and amphibians prey heavily on termites when they emerge during swarming seasons.
