Spraying standard household white vinegar on wood will not effectively eradicate a termite infestation. While concentrated acetic acid can kill some soft-bodied surface insects upon direct contact, it fails to penetrate deep into wood framing where termites nest, tunnel, and feed. Relying on vinegar will leave the core colony unharmed, allowing structural destruction to continue unabated beneath the surface.
