Porcelain is generally considered a higher-quality, superior material compared to standard ceramic due to its refined composition and manufacturing process. Fired at much higher temperatures using purified white kaolin clay, porcelain becomes exceptionally dense, highly durable, and completely non-porous with a water absorption rate under 0.5 percent. Standard ceramic is more porous, less dense, and structurally softer. Because of its strength and elegance, porcelain is universally favored for fine dinnerware, sanitary fixtures, and premium tiles.
