If a French drain is not feasible for your site layout, several alternative drainage solutions exist. These include installing surface catch basins with solid underground discharge pipes, grading your lawn away from the foundation to promote natural surface runoff, building swales or dry creek beds, installing exterior sump pumps, or adding gutter extensions and downspout splash blocks.
