AusCycling has several membership tiers designed for different types of riders, from recreational to elite racers. As of 2025, the main tiers are Lifestyle Membership, which is for recreational and non-competitive riders who want to ride for fitness and participate in community rides and gran fondos, costing around $99 per year for adults and including 24/7 personal accident insurance and third party liability. Then there are Race Memberships. The Race All Discipline tier allows you to race in all six AusCycling disciplines including road, track, mountain bike, BMX racing, BMX freestyle and cyclo-cross, costing around $350 to $380 per year for adults. The Race Single Discipline tier allows you to race in only one discipline, for example road only or mountain bike only, costing $220 to $300 per year. There are also age-based sub-tiers within race memberships, including Junior under 13, Under 15, Under 17, Under 19, Elite over 19, and Masters over 30. For kids, there is a Kids Membership and for families a Family Lifestyle Membership. For one-off participation, there is a 4-week free trial for new members and a single-day event licence for $35 to $55. In addition, AusCycling has club tiers, where clubs are classified as affiliated clubs with full insurance and development support. The higher your tier, the more insurance cover and race eligibility you get, with All Discipline race offering the highest level of personal accident benefits and the ability to enter state and national championships and UCI events.
