Yes, NRMA Roadside Assist is Australia wide through reciprocal agreements with other state motoring clubs, even though NRMA itself is based in New South Wales and ACT. NRMA has over 2.4 million members and operates its own patrol fleet in NSW and ACT, but when you break down outside NSW, for example in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth, NRMA does not send its own patrols, instead it arranges assistance through its sister clubs which are part of the Australian Automobile Association. So in Victoria, RACV will assist you, in Queensland RACQ will assist, in South Australia RAA, in Western Australia RAC WA, in Tasmania RACT, and in Northern Territory AANT. This reciprocal system means your NRMA membership card is valid Australia-wide for roadside assistance including battery jump start, tyre change, lockout, fuel and towing. The towing distances and benefits remain the same as your NRMA tier, for example NRMA Basic includes 10km towing even interstate, NRMA Premium includes 100km or unlimited towing depending on product. However, some premium benefits like hire car, accommodation and personal cover may have slightly different limits when used interstate via affiliates. NRMA also has an international reciprocal agreement with AAA in the USA and similar clubs in UK and NZ, giving limited roadside cover overseas. So while NRMA's own patrols are NSW and ACT focused, your cover is Australia wide via the national network, and you just call the usual NRMA number 13 11 22 and they coordinate the local affiliate.
