Did Home Depot ever sell Benjamin Moore? No, Home Depot has never sold Benjamin Moore paint as regular authorized product. Benjamin Moore has long-standing distribution strategy of selling exclusively through independent authorized retailers and Ace Hardware, not through big box home improvement chains like Home Depot or Lowe's. This strategy is to maintain premium positioning and support independent dealers with expert advice. Home Depot sells its own exclusive brands like Behr, which is Home Depot's primary paint brand, and Glidden, plus other brands, but not Benjamin Moore. There may have been limited test or special order in distant past, but not as standard offering. Benjamin Moore has consistently avoided big box mass merchants. So Home Depot has not sold Benjamin Moore as part of its paint department. If you want Benjamin Moore, you need to go to independent paint store or Ace Hardware that is authorized dealer, not Home Depot.
