It depends on what your satin is made of. Sleeping in real silk satin is considered very healthy, while sleeping in polyester satin has both pros and cons. Real silk satin pillowcases and pajamas are beneficial because silk is naturally hypoallergenic, does not absorb moisture from your skin and hair like cotton does, reduces friction that causes sleep creases, hair frizz, and breakage, and helps regulate body temperature. Many dermatologists and hair stylists recommend silk for people with acne, eczema, curly or fragile hair. Polyester satin pillowcases do provide the low-friction benefit, so they can also reduce hair tangling and facial creasing compared to cotton, which is why they are popular and cheap. However, polyester satin is not breathable, it does not wick moisture, it traps heat, can make you sweat more at night, and can potentially worsen acne or irritation for sensitive skin because sweat and oils stay on the skin surface. It also generates static. So for aesthetics and hair, both work, but for overall skin health and temperature comfort, silk satin is healthier to sleep in than polyester satin.
