Standard ammonia-based Windex should be used with extreme caution on Low-E glass, especially if the Low-E coating is exposed on an interior surface (surface #4). Ammonia and harsh chemical cleaners can degrade or etch specialized window coatings and window tint films over time. Experts recommend using mild dish soap and water, or a specialized ammonia-free glass cleaner.
