Are Behr and KILZ the same company?

Are Behr and KILZ the same company? Behr and KILZ are not exactly same company but are related under same parent corporation. Both brands are owned by Masco Corporation, large home improvement conglomerate. Behr Process Corporation makes Behr paints and primers, and Masterchem Industries makes KILZ primers, and Behr acquired Masterchem and KILZ brand in past decades, so both operate under Behr/Masco umbrella. They share parent company, manufacturing resources, and distribution, especially at Home Depot where Behr is exclusive paint brand and KILZ primers are prominently sold. However, they remain distinct product lines with separate formulations, Behr focuses on finish paints and some primers, KILZ focuses on specialty primers for stain and odor blocking. So they are sister brands under same corporate ownership, not independent competitors, but not same product either. Think of them as siblings under Masco, with Behr known for paints, KILZ known for primers, often marketed together at Home Depot.
