Who owns Terri Scheer Insurance is Suncorp Group, one of largest insurance groups in Australia, which acquired Terri Scheer Insurance Pty Ltd in 2010. Terri Scheer was founded 1993 by Terri Scheer in Adelaide as specialist landlord insurer, and grew to leading landlord insurer with 200K+ policies, and in 2010 Suncorp Insurance, part of Suncorp Group with brands AAMI, GIO, Apia, Shannons, Vero, CGU and NRMA in some states, purchased Terri Scheer for $20M to $30M to expand landlord insurance portfolio. Suncorp Group is ASX listed with market cap $15B, gross written premium $13B to $14B, owning 30% of general insurance market via IAG and Suncorp brands, with head office Brisbane and Adelaide for Terri Scheer. Terri Scheer operates as subsidiary of Suncorp Insurance, retaining brand Terri Scheer and specialist landlord focus, with policies underwritten by AAI Limited, part of Suncorp. So Terri Scheer is owned by Suncorp Group since 2010, operating as part of Suncorp Insurance with Suncorp backing, offering landlord building, contents, rent default and liability $20M, with premiums $300 to $600 per year plus building, and vacant building $1,500 to $2,500 per year for $500K.
