BLANCO is owned by BLANCO Group, a German family-owned company headquartered in Oberderdingen, Germany, and is one of the world's largest manufacturers of kitchen sinks and faucets. BLANCO was founded in 1925 in Berlin by Heinrich Blanc as Blanc + Co, originally making copper water heaters, and later moved to Oberderdingen. Today, BLANCO Group is privately owned by the Blanc family and is part of the larger BLANCO Group which includes BLANCO Professional and other divisions. The company is not publicly traded and remains family-owned, with Frank Gfrörer as CEO. BLANCO is the world leader in Silgranit granite composite sinks, which it invented, and also makes stainless steel sinks and faucets. BLANCO has manufacturing plants in Germany, Canada (Toronto area), and other countries, and its products are sold in over 100 countries. In North America, BLANCO America is headquartered in Lumberton, New Jersey, and is a subsidiary of the German parent. The Blanc family ownership has kept the company focused on quality and innovation for nearly 100 years. So BLANCO is owned by the Blanc family through BLANCO Group, a German family-owned company based in Oberderdingen, Germany, not by Masco, Fortune Brands, or Kohler, and it remains independent and family-owned.
