The border between Western Cape and Eastern Cape provinces in South Africa is located in the southeastern part of the country, running roughly from the coast inland through the Karoo. The coastal border point is at the Bloukrans River and Bloukrans Bridge, which is famous for the world's highest commercial bungee jump at 216 meters, located between Plettenberg Bay in Western Cape and the Tsitsikamma area in Eastern Cape. The Bloukrans River forms the natural border at the coast, with the western side in Western Cape's Garden Route district and the eastern side in Eastern Cape. From there, the border extends inland northward through the Outeniqua and Tsitsikamma mountains, through semi-arid Karoo regions, with towns like Langkloof near the border. The border is not heavily marked but is indicated by provincial signs on the N2 highway, the main coastal highway connecting Cape Town to Gqeberha. On the N2, you cross from Western Cape to Eastern Cape just east of Plettenberg Bay and Nature's Valley. Inland, the border runs near Uniondale and Willowmore, with Western Cape to the west and Eastern Cape to the east. The border region is scenic, with forests, mountains, and coastal cliffs, part of the Garden Route. So the border is at Bloukrans River on the coast, inland through Karoo.
