Solid State Logic (SSL) was founded in 1969 by the late Colin Sanders CBE. The enterprise originally began by engineering innovative switching systems and control configurations for pipe organs, a specialized market application from which Colin coined the descriptive phrase "Solid State Logic". Over subsequent decades, the company evolved into the world's leading manufacturer of high-end professional analogue and digital audio mixing consoles, multi-track recording hardware, and studio production workflows that transformed the global music, film, and broadcast entertainment industries.
