The fuse on a Genie garage door opener, if present, is located on the logic board inside the motor unit mounted on ceiling, not easily accessible without opening cover, and many newer Genie models do not have user-replaceable fuse but have internal circuit breaker. For older Genie models with fuse, fuse is typically small glass or ceramic fuse on circuit board near power cord connection, inside motor housing, you need to unplug opener and remove cover to access, fuse may be near transformer. However, most modern Genie models including ChainLift, BeltLift, SilentMax do not have external fuse that user can replace, instead they have internal thermal fuse or circuit breaker that resets automatically, and protection is via household circuit breaker. If opener has no power, check household breaker and outlet first, as Genie opener plugs into outlet and does not have separate fuse in plug. Some Genie models have 3-amp fuse on board for low voltage circuit protecting wall control and sensors, located on logic board. To check fuse, unplug opener, remove cover, locate fuse on board, test with multimeter, replace with same rating if blown. But caution, opening motor unit may void warranty and risk electric shock. If you suspect fuse blown due to power surge, contact Genie support or professional technician, as logic board may need replacement rather than just fuse. So fuse, if present, is on logic board inside motor unit.
