Firestone tires in Canada are made at Bridgestone Canada plant in Joliette, Quebec, which is main Firestone and Bridgestone tire manufacturing facility in Canada. The Joliette plant, located at 4845 Rue des Seigneurs, Joliette, Quebec J6E 0C8, about 50 miles northeast of Montreal, has been operating since 1966 and produces passenger, light truck, and commercial tires for both Firestone and Bridgestone brands for Canadian and US markets. This plant is only Bridgestone tire plant in Canada and produces several million tires per year, employing about 1,000 workers. Some Firestone tires sold in Canada are also imported from US plants in Wilson, North Carolina, Des Moines, Iowa, La Vergne, Tennessee, and from Mexico and Japan due to global supply chain, but Joliette is primary Canadian production site. Historically, Firestone had plant in Hamilton, Ontario that closed in 1988, and Bridgestone consolidated to Joliette. Firestone tires made in Joliette include Destination, Firehawk, and Transforce lines. The plant is certified for quality and environmental standards. So Firestone tires made in Canada are made in Joliette, Quebec, which is Bridgestone Canada's only tire plant, serving Canadian market with Made in Canada Firestone tires, though many Firestone tires in Canada are also Made in USA due to cross-border trade.
