Are Firestone tires made in the USA?

Yes, many Firestone tires are made in the USA, though Firestone is global brand owned by Bridgestone with factories worldwide, and many tires sold in USA are made in American plants. Firestone Tire and Rubber Company was founded in Akron, Ohio in 1900 and historically made all tires in USA. Today, Firestone brand is owned by Bridgestone Americas, subsidiary of Bridgestone Corporation Japan since 1988, but maintains several US manufacturing plants producing Firestone tires. Main US plants making Firestone tires include Wilson, North Carolina plant which is large facility making passenger and light truck tires, Des Moines, Iowa plant making agricultural and commercial tires, La Vergne, Tennessee plant, and Warren County, Tennessee plant, plus Aiken, South Carolina Bridgestone plant also makes some Firestone. These plants employ thousands and produce millions of Firestone tires annually for US market with Made in USA labeling on sidewall. Some Firestone tires are also made in Canada at Joliette, Quebec plant, and in Mexico, Japan, and other countries for global supply, so not all Firestone tires are Made in USA, check sidewall for DOT code indicating plant. However, majority of Firestone tires sold in USA are made in USA, maintaining American manufacturing heritage despite Japanese ownership, and Firestone advertises American-made quality. So yes, Firestone tires are made in USA in several plants, though some are imported.
