What's the opposite of click?

The opposite of click depends on which definition of click you are using, because the word has many senses. For the computer action, where to click means to press and select, the opposite would be to unclick, deselect, unselect, or miss the target. For the social meaning where people click meaning they bond and have chemistry, the opposite is to clash, not get along, not vibe, to have no chemistry, to repel, or to not connect. For the mental meaning where something clicks in your mind meaning you suddenly understand, the opposite is to be confused, to not understand, to be lost, to miss the point, or to be puzzled. For the sound meaning where a click is a sharp snap or tick, the opposite sound might be a thud, a hum, or silence. In photography, where a click means a successful shot, the opposite might be a missed shot or a blur. In business, if to click means to succeed or catch on, the opposite is to fail, flop, or fall flat. In military slang where a click means a kilometer, there is no direct opposite. So while unclick is the literal technical opposite, socially the opposite is to clash or not connect.
