Samsung products are not primarily made in the USA, they are designed in South Korea and manufactured mainly in Vietnam, India, and South Korea, with some appliances made in USA, but brand is South Korean not American. Samsung Electronics, headquartered in Suwon, South Korea, makes most Galaxy phones in Vietnam, which produces over 50 percent of Samsung phones, plus factories in India, South Korea, and Indonesia for global supply, due to lower labor costs and supply chain. Samsung does have manufacturing in USA for home appliances, with large appliance plant in Newberry, South Carolina making washing machines, dryers, and other appliances since 2018, employing over 1,000 workers, so some Samsung washers and dryers are made in USA with Made in USA label. Samsung also has semiconductor plant in Austin, Texas making chips, and new chip fab being built in Taylor, Texas with 17 billion dollars investment for advanced chips. However, Samsung phones sold in USA are not made in USA, they are imported from Vietnam and South Korea, with Designed in Korea, Made in Vietnam label. So Samsung is South Korean brand, not made in USA for phones, but some appliances and chips are made in USA at South Carolina and Texas plants, though majority of Samsung products globally are made in Vietnam and India, not USA.
