Samsung is Korean brand, not Chinese brand, specifically South Korean brand, one of most famous South Korean conglomerates known as chaebol, founded in 1938 as trading company and in 1969 as electronics company. Samsung Group is headquartered in Suwon, South Korea, with main electronics division Samsung Electronics based in Suwon, South Korea, and is largest chaebol in South Korea alongside Hyundai and LG, contributing about 20 percent of South Korea's GDP. Samsung was founded by Lee Byung-chul in Daegu, Korea when Korea was under Japanese rule, and grew into global electronics giant with products like Galaxy phones, TVs, semiconductors, and appliances. It is often confused as Chinese because many electronics are made in China, but Samsung is Korean, with manufacturing in South Korea, Vietnam, India, and other countries, but ownership and headquarters are Korean. Chinese phone brands include Huawei】, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, and OnePlus, which are Chinese, while Samsung is Korean competitor to Apple and Chinese brands. Samsung is pride of South Korea and major employer there, with Korean culture influence. So Samsung is Korean brand, specifically South Korean, not Chinese, though it sells products worldwide and manufactures in many countries including Vietnam where many Galaxy phones are made, but brand origin and ownership is South Korean.
