To reset an LG gas dryer, you perform a full power reset that clears electronic glitches, error codes like d80, d90, d95, tE, and control lock issues, since LG gas dryers do not have a physical reset button. First, press the Power button to turn the dryer off. Then unplug the dryer from its standard 120-volt grounded wall outlet. Unlike electric dryers that use 240 volts, LG gas dryers use 120 volts for controls and tumbling, with gas for heat, so you only need to unplug the power cord, not turn off a double breaker, but you should leave the gas shutoff valve as is unless you smell gas. Leave the dryer unplugged for at least 5 to 10 minutes to allow the main control board capacitors to fully discharge and reset its memory. While unplugged, press and hold the Start/Pause button for 5 seconds to drain any residual electricity stored in the electronics. After waiting, plug the dryer back in securely, press Power, select Time Dry on high heat for 10 minutes with no clothes inside, and press Start to test if it heats and tumbles. You can also clear Control Lock by pressing and holding the Control Lock or Child Lock button for 3 seconds. If the error returns, the issue is mechanical such as a blocked vent, blown thermal fuse, failed igniter, or weak gas valve coils, which a reset will not fix and requires vent cleaning or part replacement.
