Yes, Craftsman still exists as active tool brand, now owned by Stanley Black & Decker since 2017 and sold primarily at Lowe's, Ace Hardware, and Amazon, with new products being developed. Craftsman was founded in 1927 by Sears as house brand for tools and was iconic American brand with lifetime warranty sold exclusively at Sears. In 2017, Sears Holdings sold Craftsman to Stanley Black & Decker for 900 million dollars due to Sears financial decline, and Stanley Black & Decker expanded brand beyond Sears to Lowe's as primary retailer, plus Ace Hardware, Amazon, and other retailers, revitalizing brand with new cordless power tools V20 platform, hand tools, and lawn equipment. Craftsman continues to exist with wide range of products including mechanics tools, socket sets, wrenches, screwdrivers, power drills, saws, and lawn mowers and tractors, all with lifetime warranty for hand tools. While original Sears stores that sold Craftsman have mostly closed after Sears bankruptcy in 2018, Craftsman brand itself is thriving under Stanley Black & Decker with manufacturing in USA with global materials and overseas. So yes, Craftsman exists anymore, it is not defunct, it is alive and well under new ownership, with products available at Lowe's and other retailers, with new innovations and continued lifetime warranty honored by Stanley Black & Decker.
