A sudden drop in water pressure limited exclusively to a single shower is most commonly caused by a mineral-scaled or debris-clogged showerhead, or a malfunctioning pressure-balancing valve cartridge inside the shower wall handle. Over years of use, hard water calcium deposits build up inside the tiny spray nozzles of the showerhead, restricting flow. Additionally, modern shower valves contain internal pressure-balancing spools designed to prevent scalding; if this spool gets stuck or jammed with debris, it will severely choke off hot or cold water delivery. Verification: Unscrew the showerhead and soak it in white vinegar to dissolve mineral scale, then test the flow.
