The fundamental difference lies in their mechanical operation and ink technology. Regular inkjet and laser printers use liquid nozzles or thermal toner fusion to build full-color images page by page. Conversely, a Risograph operates like a high-speed digital screen printer, burning a master stencil, wrapping it around an ink drum, and pushing vibrant soy-based spot colors through the stencil onto uncoated paper at incredible speeds.
