No, LG is not bigger than Samsung. Samsung is significantly larger than LG by almost every measure including revenue, market capitalization, global brand value, and number of employees. Samsung Electronics alone had revenue of over 230 billion dollars in recent years, while LG Electronics had revenue of around 65 to 70 billion dollars, making Samsung more than three times larger in electronics. If you include the entire Samsung Group conglomerate with Samsung Heavy Industries, Samsung Life Insurance, Samsung C&T and other affiliates, the group revenue exceeds 300 billion dollars. The LG Group including LG Electronics, LG Chem, LG Energy Solution, LG Display, and LG Innotek has total revenue of about 70 to 80 billion dollars for electronics plus additional for chemicals and batteries, but still far below Samsung Group. In terms of market capitalization, Samsung Electronics is worth around 350 to 400 billion dollars, while LG Electronics is worth around 10 to 12 billion dollars. Samsung is the world's largest memory chip maker, largest TV maker, and largest smartphone maker, while LG is dominant in OLED panels, appliances, and EV batteries but smaller overall. Both are major South Korean chaebols headquartered in Seoul, but Samsung is clearly the larger and more valuable company globally, ranked much higher on the Fortune Global 500 list.
