Yes, Leviton is a highly reputable brand and is one of the most trusted and widely used electrical wiring device brands in North America with a long history of quality and reliability. Founded in 1906 by Isidor Leviton in Brooklyn, New York, Leviton Manufacturing Co., Inc. remains a privately held family-owned company headquartered in Melville, New York, with over 115 years of experience making switches, outlets, dimmers, and lighting controls. Leviton products are UL listed, meet National Electrical Code and CSA standards for Canada, and undergo extensive safety and quality testing in its US engineering centers. Its Decora line of rocker switches and outlets is iconic and found in millions of homes, and its Decora Smart smart switches that work with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple HomeKit are well regarded for affordable smart home functionality. Electricians, contractors, and inspectors generally rate Leviton as a solid, reputable mid to premium brand that offers good durability, easy installation, and wide availability at Home Depot, Lowes, and electrical distributors with good warranty support. Compared to cheap no-name brands, Leviton offers better materials and longer life, and while premium brands like Lutron offer superior dimming performance, Leviton is considered reputable for everyday residential and commercial use and is recommended by professionals for most applications.
