In North America, yes, most Hotpoint appliances are made in America, while in Europe they are not. For the US and Canadian market, Hotpoint is manufactured by GE Appliances in its factories in the United States, primarily in Decatur, Georgia for refrigerators and in other GE Appliances plants in Kentucky and Alabama for washers, dryers, and ranges. GE Appliances is headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky and has been owned by Haier since 2016, but it maintains extensive American manufacturing and employs thousands of US workers. The parts are sourced globally, but final assembly is in the USA, and the appliances are labeled Made in America with domestic and imported parts. In the United Kingdom and Europe, Hotpoint appliances are not made in America. They are made by Whirlpool and Beko Europe factories in Poland, Italy, Slovakia, and previously in the UK. So if you buy a Hotpoint washer from Home Depot or Lowes in the US, it is made in America by GE Appliances. If you buy a Hotpoint washer from Currys or AO in the UK, it is made in Poland or Italy. This regional split is important to understand because the American and European Hotpoint products are completely different designs and are not interchangeable.

No, Hotpoint is not currently made in America for main European market, though historically it was American brand, with current Hotpoint appliances sold in UK and Europe made in UK, Italy, and Poland by Whirlpool Corporation EMEA division, while some Hotpoint builder models in US are made in America by GE Appliances owned by Haier. Hotpoint was founded in 1911 in California, USA as Hotpoint Electric Heating Company, inventing electric iron, and was American brand for many decades, owned by General Electric from 1918, with manufacturing in US. However in Europe, Hotpoint brand was owned by Indesit Company based in Italy, and in 2014 Whirlpool Corporation acquired Indesit, gaining Hotpoint brand for Europe, with factories in Yate, UK for dryers, Fabriano, Italy for washers, and Lodz, Poland for other appliances, with Made in Europe label. In North America, Hotpoint brand rights are with GE Appliances, which was acquired by Haier Group in 2016, and GE Appliances makes some builder-grade Hotpoint models in Louisville, Kentucky, USA with Made in USA label, but main Hotpoint market in UK is European-made. So Hotpoint is not made in America for UK and Europe market, it is made in Europe by Whirlpool, with only some US builder models made in America by GE Appliances owned by Haier, making current Hotpoint primarily European-made brand, not American-made for most buyers.
