Is Goodman a high-end furnace?

Is Goodman a high-end furnace? Goodman is not considered high-end furnace brand, it is considered value or mid-range brand offering good performance for affordable price, owned by Daikin. High-end furnace brands typically include Lennox Signature series, Carrier Infinity, Trane XC95m, which offer 98 percent AFUE, variable speed, modulating gas valves, and premium features with higher price $4000 to $7000 installed. Goodman furnaces offer up to 98 percent AFUE in high efficiency models like Goodman GMVM97 modulating furnace, which has similar efficiency to premium brands, but priced lower $2500 to $4500, and uses standard parts that are cheaper to repair. Goodman build quality improved since Daikin acquisition, with good 10-year parts and lifetime heat exchanger warranty, but cabinet build and noise level not as premium as Lennox or Carrier. So Goodman not high-end in market positioning, it is value brand that offers high efficiency specs at lower cost, but not marketed as luxury premium. For homeowner wanting high-end features like ultra quiet and proprietary communicating controls, Lennox or Carrier better, for budget with good efficiency Goodman good choice.
