Glidden is sold at Home Depot, not at Lowe's, in the United States. Glidden is owned by PPG Industries, which has a strategic partnership with Home Depot to supply architectural paints including Glidden Premium, Glidden Essentials, Glidden Diamond, and related primers, plus specialty products like Olympic wood stains and Flood wood care. You will find Glidden displays, color chips, and PPG tinting machines inside Home Depot stores nationwide and online at homedepot.com. Lowe's does not carry Glidden because Lowe's exclusive national paint partner is Sherwin-Williams, which owns Valspar, HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams, and STAINMASTER paints, and Lowe's focuses its shelf space on those brands. Glidden is also sold at Walmart under both the Glidden name and Walmart's private label ColorPlace, which is manufactured by PPG, and through PPG Paints company-owned stores and independent dealers. So if you are looking for Glidden in a big-box home improvement store, you should go to Home Depot, not Lowe's. If you have a Lowe's gift card and want a comparable PPG-quality product, Valspar Signature at Lowe's is positioned similarly to Glidden Premium at Home Depot, with a lifetime warranty and good one-coat coverage.
