To reset your GE oven control panel to clear error codes, flashing display, and electronic glitches for models like JTS5000SNSS wall oven and JGBS66REKSS range, perform hard power reset and control lock reset. First, hard power reset: press Cancel or Clear/Off button to stop any running cycle, then unplug oven from wall outlet behind range or turn off circuit breaker that supplies it, for electric GE ovens like JB735SPSS, turn off both breakers at panel as they use 240 volts, wait at least 10 to 15 minutes to allow main control board and display board capacitors to fully discharge and clear memory and error codes like F2 for overheating, F3 for sensor open, and F7 for control failure, some technicians recommend pressing and holding Clear/Off button for 5 seconds while unplugged to drain residual charge, then plug back in or turn breaker back on. Oven will beep and display may show PF for power failure or flashing time, press any button to clear and reset clock. Second, reset control lock: if display shows LOC or Lock and buttons not working, press and hold Lock or 9 and 0 buttons together for 3 seconds until light goes off. Third, reset after self-clean: if oven door locked after self-clean and display shows locked, wait until oven cools below 200 degrees, door will unlock automatically. A reset clears electronic glitches but does not fix mechanical failures like failed bake element.
