A sink faucet spraying water erratically to the side or in multiple divergent streams is almost always caused by calcium and lime mineral scale accumulation clogging one side of the aerator mesh screen, a damaged internal rubber washer, or trapped air bubbles following recent plumbing repairs. When hard water crust blocks half of the tiny aerator holes, the remaining water is forced out at odd angles, creating an uncontrolled spray pattern. Verification: Unscrew the aerator tip from the spout and inspect the mesh screen for white mineral crust.
