A sink faucet spraying water erratically in multiple directions is almost always caused by mineral scale (calcium and lime) buildup clogging one side of the aerator screen, a damaged internal rubber washer, or trapped air bubbles in the water line following recent plumbing repairs. When hard water crust blocks half of the aerator openings, the remaining water is forced out at odd angles, creating an uncontrolled spray pattern. Verification: Unscrew the aerator tip from the spout and inspect the mesh screen for white mineral crust.
