A showerhead failing to produce adequate water pressure is typically choked by calcium and lime mineral scale deposits clogging the internal mesh filter screen or exterior spray holes, a failing pressure-balancing cartridge inside the mixing valve, or a partially closed supply shutoff valve. Over time, hard water minerals precipitate out of the water supply and narrow the water passage, severely restricting flow volume and spray velocity. Verification: Unscrew the showerhead and soak it in warm white vinegar for 45 minutes to dissolve hard water scale.
