If your shower has hot water but zero cold water flow, the issue is typically caused by a broken, partially closed, or stripped cold water supply shutoff valve, a severely clogged cold water inlet screen inside the pressure-balancing shower cartridge, or a frozen pipe during winter months. In single-handle pressure-balance valves, a stuck spool can also block one side of the water supply. Verification: Check other cold water taps in the bathroom to see if the restriction is isolated to the shower.
