The most famous and legendary coach in the history of Grambling State University—and one of the most iconic figures in all of college football history—is Eddie Robinson. Serving as the head football coach of the Tigers for an astonishing 56 years from 1941 to 1997, he accumulated 408 career victories, captured numerous black college national championships, and sent over 200 players to the National Football League while shaping generations of young men.
