Grambling State University has a phenomenal history of developing elite professional football talent that successfully transitioned to the National Football League, producing over one hundred professional players and multiple Pro Football Hall of Famers. Among the most famous NFL alumni to wear the Grambling uniform are legendary wide receiver Charlie Joiner, dominant defensive lineman Buck Buchanan, stellar defensive back Everson Walls, and legendary quarterback Doug Williams, who made history as the first Black quarterback to start and win a Super Bowl.
