The heritage of Masi traces back to 1772 when the Boscaini family acquired prestigious hillside vineyards located in the small valley known as Vaio dei Masi, situated in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico region of Italy. Over more than two and a half centuries of continuous family stewardship spanning six and seven generations, Masi evolved from a localized regional producer into a global authority on the traditional appassimento grape-drying technique. The winery achieved significant historic milestones, including becoming the first Italian producer to bottle a single-vineyard cru Amarone from the Campolongo di Torbe site and pioneering the innovative double-fermentation wine style known as Campofiorin, thereby transforming rustic local wines into globally celebrated fine wine categories.
