Bible says much about restoration as central theme of God's work to restore relationship with humanity and creation after fall. Restoration in Bible means bringing back to original condition, repairing what is broken, and renewing hope. Key verses include Joel 2:25 where God says I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten, promising to restore what was lost. Jeremiah 30:17 says I will restore health to you and heal your wounds. Psalm 23 says He restores my soul. In New Testament, Acts 3:21 speaks of restoration of all things, and 1 Peter 5:10 says after suffering, God will restore, support, and strengthen. Biblical restoration includes spiritual restoration of relationship with God through forgiveness, physical restoration of health, emotional restoration of joy, and material restoration of what was stolen. Story of Job shows God restoring double what was lost after suffering. Restoration is not just returning to previous state but often making better, as God restores with abundance. God's purpose for restoration is to show mercy, demonstrate power, and bring people back to purpose. In biblical narrative, ultimate restoration is through Jesus who restores humanity to God. Restoration requires repentance, faith, and God's grace, and is seen as ongoing process where God makes all things new, as in Revelation 21:5.
