Biblically, reflection means deep contemplation of God's word, character, and works, as well as self-examination in light of scripture to grow spiritually and align life with God's will. Reflection in Bible is often described as meditation, as in Psalm 1:2 says blessed is one who meditates on law of Lord day and night, and Joshua 1:8 commands to meditate on book of law. Biblical reflection involves thinking deeply about scripture, pondering God's creation, remembering God's faithfulness, and examining own heart and actions through lens of faith. It also includes being reflection of God's glory, as in 2 Corinthians 3:18 says we reflect Lord's glory as we are transformed. Reflection biblically is not just intellectual but involves heart, leading to worship, repentance, wisdom, and obedience. It includes self-reflection to confess sin and seek growth, and reflecting God's love to others. So biblically, reflection means meditative contemplation of God and self-examination to grow in faith.
