What does an emotional overload feel like, emotional overload feels like being overwhelmed by too many intense emotions at once, unable to manage or process feelings, feeling like you might explode or shut down. Emotional overload feels like flood of emotions, such as anxiety, sadness, anger, and guilt all at once, making you feel out of control, tearful, irritable, and exhausted. It feels like heart racing, chest tight, lump in throat, urge to cry, difficulty breathing, and feeling like you can't cope. Emotionally, it feels like being on edge, sensitive to everything, easily triggered, feeling overwhelmed by others emotions as well as your own, especially for empaths. Physically, emotional overload can cause crying, shaking, headache, stomach ache, and fatigue. For example, after stressful day, emotional overload feels like you can't handle one more thing, you snap at small things, you feel like bursting into tears, you feel drained. So emotional overload feels like emotional flood, too many feelings at once, feeling overwhelmed, out of control, tearful, anxious, exhausted, and needing to withdraw or cry to release emotions, with feeling of being unable to cope with emotional demands.
