While there are no sovereign ports owned or operated directly by the Republic of India on Omani soil, there is a deeply strategic and historic maritime relationship between the two nations, which includes formal bilateral military and logistical access agreements. Notably, the Indian Navy has official access to the Port of Duqm in Oman under a mutual logistics support agreement signed between the two governments. This arrangement allows Indian naval vessels to utilize Duqm for maintenance, refuelling, and operational turnaround, facilitating enhanced maritime security and strategic cooperation across the western Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea corridors.
