Prominent primary gateways include the Port of Salalah in the south, the Port of Sohar in the north, and the Port of Duqm, which collectively serve as vital trans-shipment and industrial hubs. Additionally, the country manages several regional and specialized ports such as Port Sultan Qaboos, Mina Al Fahal, Khasab, Shinas, and Qalhat, bringing its total count of recognized commercial and industrial ports to around eight major facilities.
