Is there a recall on Samsung dryers?

Is there a recall on Samsung dryers, there has not been major widespread recall for Samsung dryers like there was for Samsung top load washers in 2016, but there have been some smaller recalls and safety notices. Samsung has issued voluntary recalls for certain gas dryer models in past due to risk of gas leak or fire, but no large scale CPSC recall for electric dryers in recent years. Samsung electric dryers may have service bulletins for heating element and control board, but not official recall. Always check if your specific dryer model is recalled by visiting Samsung recall website or Consumer Product Safety Commission website and entering model and serial number. Common safety issues like overheating due to clogged vent are not recall but maintenance issue. In 2023 there was recall for some Samsung slide in ranges, not dryers. If you experience burning smell or fire hazard, unplug dryer and contact Samsung and CPSC. For peace of mind, register your dryer with Samsung to receive recall notifications. So as of 2026, no major active recall for Samsung dryers, but check your model periodically for any new notices.
