How do I run diagnostics on my Samsung dryer, Samsung dryers have diagnostic mode to check error codes and test components. Method, first enter diagnostic mode, with dryer in standby, press and hold Mixed Load Bell and Wrinkle Prevent buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds, or for some models hold Temp and Time buttons for 3 seconds, display will show diagnostic codes. Another method, press Power to turn on, then within 5 seconds press and hold Adjust Time Up and Dry Level for 3 seconds until display shows t1. Then you can cycle through tests, press Start Pause to run tests like t1 motor, t2 heating, t3 door switch. Common error codes, tS thermistor, dF door, HE heater, etc. You can also use SmartThings app, connect dryer to app and run self diagnostic to see error history. For simple diagnostic, check lint filter, vent blockage, and run timed dry 20 minutes to see if heats. To exit diagnostic, press Power off. If you get error codes like HC high temp or 9C1 power, note code and search manual. Always unplug before inspecting internal parts. If you cannot enter diagnostic, try unplugging for 5 minutes to reset control board then retry.
