PPG is associated with Home Depot, not Lowe's, in the United States retail market. PPG Industries has a long-standing partnership with Home Depot where it supplies several architectural paint brands including Glidden, PPG Paints, Glidden Premium, PPG Timeless, and Olympic, as well as products like Liquid Nails adhesive and Flood wood stains. You will find dedicated PPG and Glidden displays, tinting machines, and color chips inside Home Depot stores nationwide. Lowe's, by contrast, does not carry PPG's main house paint lines. Lowe's exclusive national paint partner is Sherwin-Williams, which owns Valspar and HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams, and Lowe's also carries STAINMASTER, Minwax, and other brands, but not PPG Paints or Glidden. PPG also operates its own network of about 1,000 company-owned PPG Paints stores across the US and Canada, plus independent dealers, which are separate from both Home Depot and Lowe's. Internationally, PPG is sold under different brand names like Comex in Mexico and Tikkurila in Europe, so the Home Depot versus Lowe's question is specific to the US. If you want PPG at a big box, go to Home Depot.
