Yes, Leviton is considered a good smart switch brand and is one of the most respected names in residential electrical wiring devices in North America. Leviton has been manufacturing electrical products since 1906 and offers a wide range of smart switches under its Decora Smart line, including Wi-Fi, Z-Wave, and Zigbee versions that work with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple HomeKit, and Samsung SmartThings. Leviton smart switches are known for reliability, good build quality, easy installation with neutral wire required, and strong UL listing and safety testing. They offer features like dimming, scheduling, remote control via app, and voice control, and they do not require a proprietary hub for Wi-Fi models. Compared to competitors like Lutron Caseta which is often considered the premium leader for reliability, Leviton offers more affordable pricing and wider availability at Home Depot, Lowes, and electrical distributors. Electricians generally rate Leviton as a solid mid to premium brand with good warranty support and long-term durability. The main downsides are that some users find the app less polished than Lutron's and that setup can require a neutral wire which older homes may lack. Overall, Leviton is a trustworthy smart switch brand suitable for DIY homeowners and professional installations.
